Applicants shall submit a typed essay of one to two pages, double-spaced. The purpose of this essay is to help the Scholarship Committee understand who you are, what has shaped your journey, and why you are pursuing your chosen educational or career path.
While there is no required format, applicants may wish to address:
Background and experiences, people or events that shaped your life, what inspired your chosen field, educational and career aspirations, challenges you have overcome, why you are applying, how this scholarship will help you, how you hope to use your education and experiences to strengthen your community and create opportunities for others.
We are not simply looking for academic achievement—we are looking for individuals of character, determination, and purpose.
